Guidance on Giving
Stewardship pledges and gifts are the lifeblood of the church and provide 93% of the annual operating budget for our spiritual home. Typically, our stewardship pledge target is around $2,000,000 per year. Over the years, parishioners have sought guidance regarding an appropriate pledge amount for their families. While everyone’s budget and values are unique, it may be helpful to understand the ranges of pledges we have received during our Stewardship Pledge campaign in 2023.

YOUR PLEDGE is an intentional commitment of faith and a heartfelt financial commitment to support our wonderful parish and its ministries in the year ahead. We have many parishioners who generously pledge what they can afford to contribute. If you are pledging what you can afford, we truly thank you for your commitment to our Parish, regardless of the amount. If you are currently pledging a comfortable amount, we hope you’ll continue to make St. Matthew’s a priority and consider increasing your pledge.
