Schedule of Services

Sunday Services at Saint Matthew’s

8:00 am – The Holy Eucharist, Rite II
A quiet, reflective celebration of the Eucharist, with organ music, hymns, and sermon.

10:15 am - The Holy Eucharist, Rite II
This service is the largest weekly gathering of our parish family, with congregational hymns, anthems provided by our Adult and Childrens’ Choirs, and a joyful welcome for everyone.

Various Sundays at 4:00 pm – The Holy Eucharist “Unplugged”
On various Sundays of the year, we gather at 4:00 pm in the Church for a celebration of the Eucharist “unplugged,” with acoustic music provided by our own in-house band, “The Sultans of String,” and their colleagues, “The Sultan Singers.” These relaxed, informal services are “kid-friendly” introductions to the Church’s tradition of liturgical worship, with teaching about Scripture and the liturgy. All ages are welcome to join us at these special services, coming up on March 13, April 17, May 22, and June 26, 2005.

Weekday Services

The Holy Eucharist, every Wednesday morning at 10:00 am (following the Rector’s Bible Study at 9:00 am)

The Holy Eucharist, every Thursday morning at 7:00 am
Do your spiritual batteries need recharging by the middle of a busy week? These two mid-week services, which last approximately 30 minutes, are among the “well-kept secrets” of our parish, and everyone is welcome to join us for these quiet, informal times of prayer and worship. If you’re looking for a mid-week spiritual “recharge” this is a great place to find it.

Morning Prayer, every Wednesday morning at 7:15 am
A group of Saint Matthew’s clergy and parishioners gather in the Chapel at 7:15 am on Wednesday mornings to pray together the liturgy of Morning Prayer. If you’ve never experienced Morning Prayer before, here’s a great chance to explore a new way to remember God, hear some Scripture, and get your day off to an inspiring start. Morning Prayer takes approximately 20 minutes, so it’s not too tough to fit into those busy early mornings. All are welcome.
