Roger Daggy, Parish Organist

Roger Daggy Roger Daggy became the Organist for the Parish of St. Matthew in Pacific Palisades, California in 2001. He received Bachelor and Master degrees in Music from Northwestern University, where his instructors included Wolfgang Rübsam, Grigg Fountain and Dr. Richard Enright.

For over thirty years, Mr. Daggy has been a church musician and recital organist. Prior to moving to Southern California, he spent eight years as the Music Director/Organist for Calvary Moravian Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He also spent five years as Organist for Lincoln Park Presbyterian Church in Chicago, home of an historic 1888 Johnson and Son organ.

Mr. Daggy has played throughout the United States and Europe, including concertos with the St. Matthew’s Chamber Orchestra, Pacific Palisades, CA. European venues include concerts and services at St. Wenzel’s, Naumberg, Germany; the Matyas Church, Budapest, Hungary; St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin, Ireland; and St. David’s Cathedral, Wales.

Recitals in the United States include performances at University of Chicago's Rockerfeller Chapel; St. James Cathedral, Chicago; Cathedral of St. Philip, Atlanta; St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Winston-Salem; Christ United Methodist Church, Greensboro; and First Congregational Church in Los Angeles.

Additionally, Mr. Daggy spent seventeen years in the organ industry, much of that time devoted to the care and maintenance of historic pipe organs. Mr. Daggy is married to nationally syndicated classical music announcer/producer Kimberlea Daggy. They have two children: Maximilian and Celia.
