Schedule of Services
Sunday Services at Saint Matthew’s
8:00
am – The Holy Eucharist, Rite II
A quiet, reflective celebration of the Eucharist, with organ music, hymns,
and sermon.
10:15 am - The Holy Eucharist, Rite II
This service is the largest weekly gathering of our parish family, with
congregational hymns, anthems provided by our Adult and Childrens’
Choirs, and a joyful welcome for everyone.
Family Service Sundays at 10:15 am –
The
Holy Eucharist “Unplugged”
On
various Sundays of the year, our Sunday morning service at 10:15 am
is a celebration of the Eucharist “unplugged,” with acoustic
music provided by our own in-house band, “The Sultans of String,”
and their colleagues, “The Sultan Singers.” These relaxed,
informal services are “kid-friendly” introductions to the
Church’s tradition of liturgical worship, with teaching about
Scripture and the liturgy.
People of all ages are welcome to join us for these special Sunday
services coming up on:
December 9, 2007 - "Unplugged" celebrates Advent
January 6, 2008 - "Unplugged" celebrates The Epiphany
March 2, 2008 - "Unplugged" during The Holy Season of Lent
April 13, 2008 - "Unplugged" for Eastertide
May 11, 2008 - "Unplugged" on the Feast of Pentecost
June 8, 2008 - "Unplugged" on the Fourth Sunday after Pentecost
Weekday Services
The
Holy Eucharist, every Wednesday morning at 10:00 am (following
the Rector’s Bible Study at 9:00 am), and every Thursday
morning at 7:00 am
Do your spiritual batteries need recharging by the middle of a busy week?
These two mid-week services, which last approximately 30 minutes, are
among the “well-kept secrets” of our parish, and everyone
is welcome to join us for these quiet, informal times of prayer and worship.
If you’re looking for a mid-week spiritual “recharge”
this is a great place to find it.
