Roger Daggy
Parish Organist
Organist Roger Daggy, a native of Virginia, earned his Bachelors and masters of Music at Northwestern University where he studied with Wolgang Rubsam. He also worked as an organ-builder and repairer with the Buzard firm of Champagne-Urbana, Illinois. After graduating, Roger and his wife, Kimberlea, moved to the Winston Salem area where he was the Music Director of a large Moravian Church and maintained his own organ repair service. The move to Whinston-Salem was occasioned by his wife's blossoming career as a classical radio music announcer. While in Winston-Salem they began a family which now includes two children, Max and Celia. Roger and Kimberlea moved to Santa Monica in the summer of 2001, following her appointment as an on-air announcer at KUSC-FM. Roger joined St. Matthews in the Fall of 2001. When he is not playing the organ he enjoys singing with the Baritones.
